Dolphins Year 2

Mrs Robb and Mrs Nutter share Dolphin Class. Mrs Robb teaches all day on a Monday and Tuesday. On a Wednesday Mrs Robb and Mrs Nutter split the day. Mrs Nutter works all day Thursday and Friday.
Teaching Assistants: Mrs Richardson and Mrs Girven
Mrs Richardson supports the class on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Mrs Girven works Thursday and Friday.
ClassDojo We use Class Dojo ( https://www.classdojo.com) as a way to communicate with parents and record things the children have done in school and at home. We can also keep parents updated with what has happened in class (as we know many children don't tell parents much) and to inform them of key events. The children will earn dojo points too for their behaviour. Children who are on gold will receive 3 dojo points that day, children on silver will receive 2 and children on green will receive 1.
P.E. Our P.E. day will be Wednesday. Children will need to come dressed in their kit and can wear joggers , a school jumper and trainers too.
Snack We do have fruit provided daily, however, we are aware that not every child may like the fruit choice so you are welcome to send a piece of fruit in for your child if you wish to do so.
Milk If your child wants milk, please speak to the office staff and they will guide you to the necessary website (coolmilk). Milk costs 22p a day.
Reading Reading books will be sent home on a Monday to be returned on a Friday. Book bags only need to be brought on these days. The books will be put in a box on a Friday and quarantined over the weekend. Any additional books your child reads can be recorded in the diary or on their profile page on ClassDojo.
Homework Homework is sent out for the half term as a grid. There will be 9 options and children will be told the minimal expectation. Homework will be sent on the Classdojo page and any completed task can be uploaded to your child's profile page. We expect that homework is done to your child's best ability and that they write in pencil rather than pen when completing tasks. If your child is struggling, please do message us for help. Your child may come home with additional tasks such as comprehension, phonic games and spellings.
