Welcome to the home of EYFS at Whalley CE Primary School !

Seahorse and Starfish Class 2020-2021

We are a class of 45 reception children, and are taught by Miss Cowdall, Mr Todd and Mrs Woodburn (Tuesday afternoon/Thursday).

Mrs Parker, Mrs Walsh and Mrs Wilkinson support us in our learning.

Key Information

Our P.E. day is each Friday. We will specifically focus on our gross and fine motor skills throughout the morning. We ask that children are sent to school in P.E. kit please. Dark coloured joggers can be worn on colder days.

Welly Wednesday

Each Wednesday afternoon is dedicated to outdoor learning. Children will need to come to school in dark coloured joggers or leggings, with their regular school t-shirt & jumper/cardigan. Clearly labelled waterproofs & wellies should be kept in school to use throughout the week.

Milk is provided to all children for free until their 5th birthday. If your child would like to continue having milk each day, then you can buy in to the scheme with all information available at the school office.

Each day the children have access to fruit at snack time.

We use ClassDojo to communicate with parents, sharing learning in both class and at home. We  also keep parents updated on what is happening in the classroom, we know they don’t often like to share this information! Children can also earn behaviour points to work towards a dip in the class prize box.

EvidenceMe by  2Simple  is an app that we use in class to observe the children in their learning. Observations are shared with parents via parent share.
